MAGIC CAMERA!

Review Date: March 5, 2010

Fujifilm Finepix A220 12MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 2.7 inch LCD

I ABSOTUTALUTELY LOVE THIS CAMERA.
I bought a recharger with Ni MH batteries (Duracell) and it's a beauty! It's provides you with the freedom of knowing that you will always have battery life. So, to those of you who do not like the buying of batteries on the go, no worries, you can use re-chargeable batteries with it.

It takes absolutely BEAUTIFUL photos. I want to take one of everything I see! It's nice and it's slim and a variety of scenes to choose from when taking pictures. It even has a BABY MODE, which is suitable for babies skin and such. And I have a lil' one so that's great.

The sound quality of the videos are great.

Uploading photos to my computer was easy.

I love it so much I purchased a Case Logic Medium Case for it's maximum protection.

If any of you have any trouble, feel free to contact me.

Good luck and believe me, I'm a picky person. I spent A MONTH researching for the best camera for $100. This one is better than I expected. As you should know, the descriptions of products don't always tell you EVERYTHING. Therefore, there are always good and/or bad suprises. I am extremely pleased.

Great Camera and great price!

This is a great product. The only issue I have is automatic smile feature does not always work but other than that it is well worth the price of the camera.
FujiFilm A220

I have this camera's big brother, the Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd, and BOTH have nearly the same features. We are going to France this year and I will be buying another one for my wife. As a point and shoot camera, this is one of the best I have owned. Start up is fast. Saving to the SD card is quick. And the flash is adequate for most indoor shots.

There are only two drawbacks: It would be great to have a 5x or 10x zoom, but in most situations, the 3x optical is fine. And, the 2.7" screen has problems with reflective sunlight - I plan on using a cellphone UV film to correct that.

It fits in your pocket and is lightweight. Overall, a great camera for the price.
Camera was a gift

Review Date: January 30, 2010
Reviewer: Barb,
I gave the camera as a gift. I don't use it but my daughter said she likes it and the quality of pictures are fine for people who use a camera for family occasions etc. My daughter is older but breaks everything. :-) So the price was great. So far she has not broken it but I was pleased with the price and the camera itself. I would recommend it.
Great Basic Digital Camera

This is by no stretch of the imagination a professional quality camera, and not really for the camera enthusiast. But for those of us who just want something to capture the moment, it's pretty dandy. I bought it to replace my older Fuji Finepix, which is a 6 MP and costs 3 times as much. I do like Fuji products. I think the quality is very good for the price point.

Though I bought it primarily for a point and shoot, I do like the extra features: the timer, manual settings, and video recording option. The playback sound on the video isn't good on the camera, but on the television or downloaded to my MP3 player, it's fine. The picture quality is very good, except sometimes in low light or with a lot of shadow. In those situations, the dark areas of the photos come out very dark, and the lighter color objects are very bright. The result is the photo has more contrast than the object being captured. To overcome this, I leave the shutter exposure very long and put the camera on a stable surface OR add lighting before taking the photo.

I advise taking the time to read the user's manual, and keep it handy at first. But it doesn't take long to learn how to get the most from this camera. This is a nice workhorse camera, suitable as a first camera, or something easy to learn for someone who hasn't used digital cameras before. And it's not a wallet-buster. Recommended.

HP PhotoSmart 735 Review

HP-PhotoSmart-735Hewlett-Packard changes its digital camera range so often it can prove difficult to keep track of what’s current and what isn’t. HP PhotoSmart 735 introduces another new design, one that’s shared by the more expensive 5-megapixel PhotoSmart 935.

HP’s cameras aren’t normally known for their style, but the 735 does look pretty neat from the front. Round the back, though, it’s a bit of an ugly beast – but then at a typical asking priceĀ  you’ve got to remind yourself what you’re getting. Where else will you find a 3.2-megapixel camera with a 3x optical zoom at anywhere near this price?
